What a surprise to see this beautiful hotel on t.v…after watching Alex for many years I could not believe she had found a hotel so clean!!! Stayed in many hotels and often the standards were below what I would expect for the price…I will definitely stay at your hotel even if my family are not using the airport.
My husbands in travel and has marked your hotel to stay in.
Suggestions for your barn, Workshops, Beauty, Antique fair, Afternoon tea.
    Good Luck

Saw the programme on TV. Hotel look very good. Disappointed when we came to book a £49. room to find it was now £69. Add to this £20, taxi fare plus 2 evening meals and your prices become far less attractive than the national hotels nearer the airport.
Wish you well. Sorry we can’t support you.
      Tom Ryan.

I hope you will see this comment as productive and not destructive.

        Thank you for posting.

If you saw the show you’ll be aware that at £49.00 the hotel was struggling – hence the arrival of the Hotel Inspector in the first place. One of Alex’s first suggestions was that we raise our prices and this is exactly what we have done.

We regret losing your business but ultimately we have to start making money.

        Kind regards,
        David

    Hi
We watched Hotel Inspector last night and have to say, “well done to you all as a family”. You all have the same attitude and desires to succeed and to provide the best accommodation you possibly can for your guests.

How refreshing to watch this episode where there was no bickering between any of you, only a wish to be helped by Alex and accept that she’s a very experienced lady in the Hotel business and has your interests at heart.

Your Hotel is absolutely stunning and the attention to every detail is met by you. Pristinely clean accommodation but very homely too.

You are a lovely family with a beautiful Hotel and deserve to succeed!

We will definitely book with you instead of our usual Hotel when we go away for two weeks and will recommend your Hotel to anyone who may not have seen the program last night & that is before we’ve even stayed there ourselves! We saw what we needed to.

Good luck to you all. You deserve it.

    Kind regards
    Brenda

The hotel looks lovely & still very reasonably priced. Why not apply for a wedding licence for the barn? or just use it as a reception venue – you have the rooms to match for a wonderful weekend. The only downside presumably is aircraft noise in the gardens?

Thank your for your suggestions. We’re certainly considering all the possibilities that are available. The noise isn’t an issue when you’re in the barn/hotel, but yes, you probably wouldn’t want to be reciting vows in the garden when a 747 is landing :-)

Saw the TV programme the other night and fully agree with the comments registered so far. Delightful hotel and setting run by a lovely family. Well done you all!
My wife and I recently stayed in a hotel near Nantwich which had a lovely cuddly stuffed cat on the bed. The idea was to welcome but also to place the cat outside the room if you did n’t want to be disturbed. The toy was also on sale at the reception, thereby offering another income stream. We bought one for £15.
The workshop idea for the barn is brilliant and as an artist, I’m thinking Art week-ends. Will certainly use the hotel when we fly from Gatwick.

As a regular viewer of Hotel Inspector my partner and I was initially as dumbfounded as Alex was regarding why not profitable. The next time we fly from Gatwick, we will definetley be booking the night before with you if only just to stay at such a fabulous looking country hotel. The rooms look great and I think the value of them exceptional. The pie Alex tucked it into looked very tasty and I would certainly want to try that.

From the show you seemed excellent hoteliers, warm friendly and professional. The way you were receptive to Alex’s critique and strategy I’m sure is reflected in the way you deliver your hospitality to your guests. Regarding the grounds well.. just..WOW, anybody looking to book functions, events including weddings this looks completely ideal and so versatile to accommodate all manner of events.

Congratulations and we look forward to staying with you and will certainly spread the word amongst family and friends that a great place to stay is the Waterhall Country Hotel.

The best of the latest Hotel Inspector programmes, – and easily the best hotel of any in any if the series we’ve seen!
A really lovely, spacious , friendly (super family) hotel which we should love to stay in when we next fly from Gatwick. However as Birmingham airport is so near to our home in Solihull that may not be for some time, but may be we might stay en route when visiting friends in Brighton!
We shall certainly recommend you to friends and family , and wish you every success which you richly deserve.

We have stayed twice already and have already booked our 3rd stay before our flight to Crete in July. You get a comfy room and parking for the same price you would pay for parking at Gatwick. Great if you have an early flight like us.

I have to say how impressed I was with your property on The Hotel Inspector. I work in the Hotel business as an Area Manager and for one of the large Branded groups and to reference the above message, I do know the majority of the branded sites at Gatwick charge well in excess of £80 on most nights. The competition is strong at the airport however the product you have along with the peaceful setting, you are well in your right to be charging more for your rooms. Even though I work for a branded company, I do love the individuality of a Country Hotel and I wish you the best for the future. I will be staying with you on my next visit to the area.

The answer to this is yes, this is fine. However our rooms sleep a maximum of 2 people. Is it a twin room you require?

      Thanks,

Watched the programme today and was amazed when I saw it was The Waterhall. We stayed with you last year(room 9) and loved it then. It looks fantastic after the ‘makeover’ and we couldn’t wish a nicer family all the very best and a successful future. We would recommend anyone to stay at The Waterhall. Fantastic value and customer service in such beautiful surroundings plus brilliant parking service.
PS Alex is right – your rooms are worth more!

All looks lovely! Just watched The Hotel Inspector and considering booking a room and parking for July. There’s no mention of a bar, either on the program or on your website? Is the hotel licensed? Thank you.

As others have said watched the programme and was stunned by a lovely family with a lovely hotel struggling. Having been in hospitality myself, I would look into corporate team building events, I would buy a marquee and get into weddings, there is so much to do with that barn and acreage…as a family you deserve to thrive, I so hope you do.
